Insta Hack: A Perfect Instagram Bio

Did you know it takes less than two-tenths of a second for an online visitor to form an impression of your account? Your Instagram bio is the first thing viewers see when coming in contact with your account. Therefore, it's important that your bio is broadcasting what your business/and or talents are about. Instagram has a character limit, it’s true, but while 150 characters may not seem like a lot of space, done correctly, it’s just enough to illustrate your brand, account and the account’s personality.


Step one: who are you? It may sound silly, but many viewers coming to your account are coming to learn more about you, so don’t be a stranger! The easiest way is to, first, properly fill out your name, occupation, contact information, etc. Once this information is displayed, add a line or two of context that explains your business specifically. This way, your viewers understand more about your account and have a better understanding of what to expect. Add a little uniqueness to your profile by highlighting previous accomplishments or personal hobbies, hashtags, emojis, etc. At the end of the day, this bio is yours, so make it like you!


Step two: link it up! By creating a “Link in Bio,” you allow your visitors to learn even more. Wondering what to link to? Your blog, website, product pages, campaigns, videos, etc. Remember, you only have 150 characters so choose your words wisely and save the detail of subjects for your link!


Step three: Share it with SHARE! At the end of the day, everyone’s account is individual and personal, that’s one reason why Instagram is so great, right!? Make your profile how you want others to perceive you. Who says you can’t mix a business account with personality? Certainly not us.
